Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026
- WiredIn keeps what it needs to save your room and your focus time.
- Your notes and goals stay private. We do not sell your personal data.
- Usage statistics (Google Analytics) only if you allow them, and you can switch them off at any time.
- You can download your data or delete your account at any time, in the app.
Who we are
WiredIn is an independently operated focus app based in the United States. This policy explains what the service keeps, how it is used, and the privacy controls available to you.
For support or privacy questions, email janicekabusky@gmail.com.
What we keep, and why
Your room and your progress
Your focus blocks (what you worked on, when and for how long), your glow and its history, the things you bought and where they stand, Pip’s looks, your goals, the notes you pin to your wall, your daily check-ins, discoveries, settings and your timezone. We keep these to run the app: they are your room. Your notes and goals are only shown to you.
Your account
You can use WiredIn as a guest: you get a random player ID, and nothing else about you is needed. If you create an account, we keep your email address; the password is handled by Firebase Authentication, and we never see it. We use your account to sign you in, keep your room on every device, and send account emails such as email confirmations and password resets.
Google user data
Google sign-in is optional. You can try WiredIn as a guest or create an account with email instead.
What we access
When you choose to sign in with Google, Firebase Authentication receives your Google account identifier and basic profile information, including your name, email address, profile picture URL and email verification status. WiredIn requests basic sign-in permissions only. We do not request access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, Google Calendar, Google Contacts or Google Photos library. We never receive your Google password.
How we use it
We use this account information to authenticate you, identify your WiredIn account, and connect your saved room and progress across devices. Basic profile details may remain in your Firebase Authentication profile; your Google name and profile picture are not published in your room. If you choose to buy a Glow pack, your account email can also prefill Stripe Checkout for that purchase and its receipt.
How we store and protect it
Firebase Authentication stores your sign-in profile on Google's infrastructure. Your browser retains sign-in state so you can stay signed in. Your room and progress are stored separately in Cloud Firestore and linked to your Firebase player ID. Connections use HTTPS, room access is restricted to its account, and server/admin access is restricted to authorized service operators. Account information is retained while your WiredIn account exists; deleting it removes its Firebase Authentication profile.
How we share it
Google and Firebase process sign-in data to provide authentication and account storage. When you start a Glow pack purchase, Stripe receives the account email and player reference needed to handle checkout. We do not sell your Google account data, send your Google profile to Google Analytics, or use it for personalized advertising. Other disclosures are limited to what is necessary for security or required by law.
Our use of Google account data is limited to the purposes described here and follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Your choices and deletion
Open your WiredIn account panel to download your room data or choose “Delete my account”. Deletion removes your authentication profile, room and reminders; payment records and backups follow the retention rules below. You can also remove WiredIn from your Google Account's third-party connections to stop Google sign-in. Removing that connection does not itself delete data already stored by WiredIn; use WiredIn's account deletion control to delete it. Guest use does not require a Google connection.
Reminders, if you turn them on
The time you chose, your timezone, and your device’s push address (a web address from your browser’s push service, so a reminder can reach that device). Turning reminders off deletes the push addresses.
Gift codes
Which gift codes you used and when, so each code works once per person.
Glow packs, if you buy one
Payments are handled by Stripe, on Stripe’s own payment page: Stripe collects your card or wallet details, and your email and country for the receipt. We never see your card details. We keep a record of each purchase, linked to your player ID: which pack, the price, when, Stripe’s ID for the payment, and whether it was refunded. We need these records for our accounts and to handle refunds.
Advertising
WiredIn loads Google AdSense on its public pages for advertising setup, site verification and consent messages. It does not load on email verification or password-reset pages. Banner display is enabled separately from this script. When enabled, a banner appears below the app only while Shop, Journal, Settings, Phone or My wall is open, and is removed when the panel closes. Google’s script can remain active throughout your visit. Google and its advertising partners may receive your IP address, browser and device information, page address and ad interactions, and use cookies or similar technology to deliver, measure and, where permitted by your choices, personalize ads. We do not add your account email, notes, goal names or room contents to ad requests. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google’s advertising information.
Where required, Google’s consent message asks for your advertising choices. You can revisit these choices using its privacy options link and manage Google ad personalization at My Ad Center. Advertising choices are separate from WiredIn’s optional Analytics setting. Rewarded ads for glow are currently disabled in production. If enabled in the future, we would also keep daily reward counts to limit the glow available from ads.
Usage statistics, only if you allow them
WiredIn shows a short cookie notice once: Google Analytics (through Firebase) runs only if you accept it, and you can change your answer at any time in Settings → Data. Only if you allow it does your browser
load Google Analytics, which counts visits and how the app is used: when a focus block starts and ends (what kind, and how many minutes), what you buy in the Shop and for how
much glow, glow you get in other ways (check-ins, little wins, goals, gift codes, ads), discoveries and levels reached, goals made and reached (how many hours, not their names),
tutorial steps reached or skipped, panels and Shop categories opened, item selections and placement, quest progress, plants grown, jars filled, and room or sound settings changed.
It counts checkout and account attempts and their outcomes (without your email), and loading time or error categories (without error messages or note contents).
For Glow pack purchases it records the pack, price and payment transaction reference. It also sees general information about your visit, such as
your browser, device type, screen size, language and rough location (country and city, worked out from your IP address, which Google Analytics does not keep). It sets
cookies in your browser (named _ga) to tell a returning visit from a new one. It never receives your notes, the names of your goals, the names you give Pip or
your cats, your email or your password. We use these statistics only to see which parts of WiredIn work and which don’t, never for advertising. If you say no, or switch it
off later, collection stops and its cookies are removed. If you decline before it starts, Google Analytics does not load.
While enabled, a small list of event identifiers stays in this tab’s session storage to avoid counting the same achievement or payment again after a reload; switching Analytics off removes that list too.
Glow given by hand
If we add or take back glow on your account (for a giveaway, or to fix a mistake), we record who did it, when and why. You see the reason in your glow history.
Error reports
When something breaks in the app, it sends a short report so we can fix it: the error message and where in the app it happened, the page address, the app version, your browser’s description (for example “Safari on iPhone”) and your player ID. These reports are kept in Google Cloud Logging for about 30 days.
Keeping the service safe
The servers count how often each player sends requests, to slow down scripts (these counts are not stored). To make sure requests come from the real app in a real browser, WiredIn can use Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise through Firebase App Check, which looks at information about your device and browser; the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply to it. Like any website, the servers that deliver WiredIn also see your IP address and browser details when you connect.
On your device
Your browser keeps a few things for the app: your sign-in, so you stay signed in, and small settings such as which tips you have already seen and your answer about usage statistics. These app settings are not advertising or tracking cookies. Google Analytics’ cookies are there only if you allow usage statistics (above). Google’s advertising tools load on the public pages, as described in Advertising above. The app’s fonts, sounds and 3D models come from WiredIn itself.
What we don’t collect
We do not request your precise device location, contacts, photo library, microphone or camera. A Google profile picture URL is basic sign-in information, not access to your photo library. Optional analytics may derive a rough location as described above.

Google’s privacy information for Firebase is at firebase.google.com/support/privacy. We do not sell your personal data. We share it with the service providers described above to run the features you use, or where needed for security or required by law.
How long we keep it
- Your room and account: until you delete them.
- When you delete your account (Account → Delete my account), or delete a guest room (Settings → Delete this room’s data), your room, your reminder, your gift code records and any record of glow given to you by hand are deleted straight away. Copies in our backups disappear as the backups roll over, within 14 days.
- Error reports: about 30 days.
- Usage statistics: retained according to the Google Analytics property's retention settings. Turning analytics off stops future collection and removes its cookies from your browser.
- Purchase records: retained as needed for accounting, refunds, disputes and applicable legal obligations, including after you delete your account. They hold your player ID, not your email.
Your choices and rights
- See and download: Account → Download my data saves your room and everything in it as a file.
- Correct: change your notes, goals and settings in the app at any time.
- Delete: Account → Delete my account, or Settings → Delete this room’s data for a guest room.
- Reminders: turn them off in Settings, or block notifications in your browser.
- Usage statistics: switch “Analytics cookies” off in Settings → Data (that also removes Google Analytics’ cookies).
Depending on where you live, applicable privacy law may give you additional rights over your data. The controls above do not limit those rights. We use your data to provide the service you asked for and to keep it safe; usage statistics run only because you allowed them.
Children
WiredIn is not meant for children under 13.
Keeping it safe
Connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Only our server can change what is stored, each player can read only their own room, and only the people who run WiredIn can use the admin tools.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top, and tell you in the app when the change matters.
